Where are you from?

I’m a dual citizen from Lebanon and Denmark. Living during the Winter in Beirut and during the Summer in Copenhagen.

What extra-curricular activities are you involved in?

During matriculation we were told that our BU undergrad experience is a piano and we should try to hit every key before we graduate. I really took that to heart and have been ever since in a multitude of extracurricular programs during my undergraduate career.  I used to volunteer at CSC [Community Service Center] with the Wizards program [ where experiments are conducted to get students more excited image0rer02and involved in science] and was also an observer with a nephrologist at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. During the summer I’m a physician assistant and volunteer at UNICEF in Copenhagen [photo at left] . This semester, I tuned down my extracurriculars a bit to be able to study for the MCAT. I’m still however president of the French Club (L’Association Francophone de Boston University-AFBU) , a member of the Professional Chemistry Fraternity (Alpha Chi Sigma) and a member of BISA (Board of International Student Ambassadors).

What interested you in doing the MMEDIC Program (early assurance to BU School of Medicine)?

I honestly didn’t know about the MMEDIC program until early Sophomore year when I met with my Pre-professional advisor. I knew I wanted to go to BUSM ever since I decided to go to BU as an Undergrad, BUSM is an amazing medical school that I would have been proud to be a part of. When I found out about this program I knew it was right for me. Thanks to this program I get to be part of the campus I love for a little longer!

What’s your favorite BU Biology memory?

If I must pick, I’d pick the last few classes we took in Cell Biology (BI213). While the class was one of my favorites, during the last month we started to cover my favorite topic of Stem Cells and Cancer. I loved learning about these topics and I loved trying to explain it to my non- biology friends.

What are your post-graduation plans?

Being in the MMEDIC program, I’ll be able to transfer to BUSM (Boston University School of Medicine) after I graduate and become a physician.
